Denver Housing Authority

Denver Housing Authority Denver Housing Authority owns eleven high-rises that house over one thousand seniors and adults with disabilities. At each of these high-rises, Service Coordinators seek to link residents with resources that will enable them to age in place. Residents come from all different backgrounds and life experiences, but have one common struggle—getting to and from appointments affordably and efficiently so that they can continue to live in their own home.

Service Coordinators help residents apply for programs such as Access-A-Ride and FirstRide and oftentimes schedule appointments with residents so that they can become familiar with the time frames necessary to schedule ahead and be reminded of guidelines for each service. Tools such as the new TransitOptions locator make it easier to narrow down the choices for those in need. Trying to get to and from a destination can be overwhelming especially if you are in pain, confused or simply cannot hear well on the phone. Sometimes it's not just a service that you need, but a patient and helpful person to help you know when, where and how to get to where you're going. Denver Housing Authority's Service Coordinators do just that.

If you are interested in applying for housing in a Senior/Disabled high-rise, please contact the Occupancy Department at 720-932-3000 or go visit www.denverhousing.org.
