Frequently Asked Questions

What is DRMAC?

The Denver Regional Mobility and Access Council (DRMAC) was established in 2005 to address the specialized transportation needs for citizens of the greater Denver metro area. Our mission is to reduce barriers to mobility and access in the Denver metro region by fostering interagency and organization collaboration. Through active collaboration, DRMAC seeks to coordinate and bring together transportation providers and human service agencies to maximize efficiencies of scale, provide access to specialized transportation for each citizen who requires it and to improve the overall specialized transportation system.

What are the benefits of becoming a member?

Members of DRMAC enjoy the following benefits to organizations:

  • Professional networking opportunities
  • Information sharing and updates on human service based transportation programs and organizations
  • Educational forums, workshops and monthly programs
  • An opportunity to help direct regional decisions and policies
  • Resource sharing with other dedicated organizations or people
  • Being involved in your Regional Coordinating Council

How do I become a member?

Those interested in becoming a member should first submit an application to DRMAC. Applications can be found at drmac-co.org, under Join Now, or by emailing executivedirector@drmac-co.org for an application.

Once you have submitted your application, the Marketing and Membership Committee will review it to make sure your organization meets the criteria for becoming a member. If approved, you will be asked to sign an MOU. Once the MOU is submitted, a DRMAC representative will sign the MOU and return a copy to the organization.

How much does my organization pay in dues?

Nothing! DRMAC does not charge membership dues.

When does DRMAC meet?

DRMAC meetings are the first Tuesday of the month from 1:00-3:00 at the Denver Regional Council of Governments office, 1290 Broadway, Denver, CO.

Who should attend the meetings?

Once an MOU is signed, the organization is able to designate one representative and two alternative representatives. One (or more) of these individuals may attend DRMAC meetings and will be allowed to cast a vote for the organization on issues put to the DRAMC membership. Please note that each organization is allowed one vote.
