Board of Directors

HANK BRAAKSMA
Chair

Hank Braaksma has over 25 years experience in all aspects of specialized transportation service provision. He is the Manager of Transportation Services for the Seniors' Resource Center in Denver, directing a $1.8 million multiple county, door-to-door, specialized transportation and brokering service. Hank is an alumnus of the Leadership Jefferson County Program. He had also served on the Colorado Association of Transit Agencies (CASTA) Board for six years, elected Board President in 2001. In 2008, he was reelected to the CASTA Board. SRC Transportation Services was recognized by the Beverly Foundation for Innovations in Senior Transportation in 2005.

LENNA KOTTKE
Vice Chair

Lenna Kottke has served as Executive Director of Special Transit, a Boulder-based nonprofit, since 1991. Special Transit provides mobility services to more than 2,000 people annually in Boulder County and rural communities in Adams, Arapahoe and Larimer counties. Lenna serves as Treasurer of CASTA, and is Colorado's delegate to the Community Transportation Association of America (CTAA). She was also recently appointed to the DRCOG Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC) as it's only non-RTD member.

ELENA WILKEN
Secretary

Elena Wilken is Executive Director of The Colorado Association of Transit Agencies (CASTA). CASTA is the state trade association for transit agencies. The organization works with Congress, the Colorado Legislature, and other governmental agencies at the local, state and federal level on transit funding and policy issues. Elena joined CASTA in 2003. She received a BA in Political Science from Pennsylvania State University and completed graduate work in Mediation at the University of Denver.

TRAVIS MENEFEE
Treasurer

Travis Menefee has over 15 years of management experience and has been in the transportation industry with Colorado Cab since 2005. Travis serves on the Driver Committee as well as the Driver Review Board for Denver Yellow Cab. In addition he manages both the Mobility Plus program and the Communications Department servicing the Denver Metro and Boulder areas for on demand taxi service. Travis was the recipient of the Manager of the Year award for Colorado Cab in 2006.

MARGARET RENDON
Board Member

Margaret began working as General Manager of First Ride in 2007 after working with the Regional Transportation District (RTD). Prior to the transportation field, she worked as a childcare provider and a mail carrier for the US Post Office. Margaret's career and personal life have showcased her desire to help others and make a difference in the community, including her work with prison ministry, mission trips to Mexico, and working with her large family to care for her aging father.

SYLVIA LABRUCHERIE
Ex Officio Board Member

Sylvia Labrucherie is the manager of two Federal Transit Administration (FTA) rural grant programs, Job Access and Reverse Commute (JARC) and New Freedom. Both programs are under the Transit and Rail Division at the Colorado Department of Transportation. She is also the staff support for the Colorado Interagency Coordinating Council for Transportation Access and Mobility, the state's version of United We Ride, the federal effort to encourage human services-transportation coordination at the state and local levels. Sylvia has a Masters in urban and regional planning, with an emphasis in strategic planning, site planning, architecture, and urban design. Her background includes construction management and architectural design, community development, technical writing, and graphic design.
